Inez L. Glidewell

Inez L. Glidewell, 94, of Topeka, passed away on Friday, March 18, 2016 at a Topeka care facility. She was born January 8, 1922 in Mullen, Nebraska, the daughter of Glenn J. and Adena (Johnson) Engelke.
Inez was a member of Big Springs United Methodist Church. She was employed as a cook for Stormont Vail Hospital, Tecumseh North and Tecumseh South Grade Schools and St. Francis Hospital.
Inez married Fred Glidewell on December 15, 1945 in Topeka. He preceded her in death in November, 1982. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Gladys Staggs and Duane Engelke.
Survivors include their children, Brenda (Arden) Koehn of Wichita, Kansas, Jim Glidewell of Tecumseh, two grandsons, Jerad (Jennifer) and Dustin and one great-grandson, Justin and a host of nieces, nephews and church family.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 24, 2016 at the Big Springs United Methodist Church where the family will receive friends one hour prior to service time. Burial will follow in West Lawn Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Big Springs United Methodist Church, 96 Hwy. 40, Lecompton, Kansas 66050.
