Irene Alt

Irene Anna Alt, 92, Topeka, passed away April 18, 2010. She was born to William and Anna (Haefke) Wendlandt on December 30, 1917 at Herington, Kansas. Irene was married to August A. Alt who preceded her in death on April 23, 1994. She was also preceded by her parents; her son, John in July 1996; her daughter, Cynthia (Alt) Hodgson on February 12, 2001; 2 sisters and 2 brothers.

She is survived by her granddaughter, Stacy Hodgson-Woodward, Topeka, and three great-grandchildren. She was a member of First Lutheran Church.

A celebration of Irene's life will be held at St. David's Episcopal Church, 17th and Gage, on Friday, April 23, 2010 at 4:30 p.m. Please come casually dressed for the informal celebration.
