Irene J. Hall, 93, Topeka, passed away Fri., Dec. 12, 2008, at her residence.
She was born Nov. 6, 1915 in Maysville, KY, the daughter of Elisha and Katie Jackson. Irene Jackson and Charles Hall, Sr. were married on Jan, 25, 1936. He preceded her in death in 1955. Mrs. Hall was a former board member of the East Topeka Senior Center.
Survivors include ten children, Charles (Winona), Paul (Penny), Michael (Doris), Arvid, Terry, William, Thomas (Roberta), Mark, Drew, Drucilla, and two granddaughters she raised, Deirdre and Meta Hall; 52+ grand, great-grand, and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, two sons, Jerry Hall, Sr. and Chet Hall and one daughter, Dora Jane Hall.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday at Highland Park United Methodist Church where family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service. Cremation will follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Southern Care, 1445 Wakarusa Dr, Suite 900, Lawrence 66049.
