Isaiah Lamar Brown, 18, of Topeka, passed away February 10, 2016 at home surrounded by his parents, his nurse Gloria, other family members and friends. He was prematurely born December 7, 1997 to Galen and Tammy Toler Brown at 4 pounds and 3 ounces (thus the name "little man" was born). In spite of many physical and mental disabilities, Isaiah was a happy baby and grew into a very loving and strong young man. He was and always will be our sunshine.
Isaiah attended Parkdale Preschool, Lowman Hill, Highland Park Central and Robinson Middle School. Cappers Foundation, Childrens' Miracle Network and Missouri Education and Rehabilitation were a big part of his life. He enjoyed being outdoors, going on walks and going swimming. Isaiah LOVED music!
Isaiah is survived by his mother and step-father, Tammy and Richard Leupold; his father and step-mother, Galen and Leslie Brown; brothers: Jeremiah Hopkins and Kevin Hughes; sisters: Mariah Brown, Michelle Hopkins, Christina Hopkins, Dianna Morissey and Jennifer Meggison; aunts: Celezlie Brown, Gaynel Brown and Vicki Brown; uncle, Walter Brown; grandmothers: Tressa Kusma, and Delores Brown; nephews: Noah Hopkins, Blaine Hopkins, Blake Meggison, Shane Hutchison, Jr. and Owen Hughes; nieces: Elisabet Hopkins, Ary Hutchison and Katherine Meggison.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 19, 2016 at Dove Cremation & Funeral Service Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
