Ivan "Corky" Yocum, Jr., 78, Topeka, passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at a local hospital.
Corky was born October 7, 1939 in Topeka, the son of Ivan C. and Christine (Crystal) Yocum, Sr. He graduated from Topeka High School in 1958.
He was employed by the State of Kansas, Department of Administration, as a Telecommunications Manager for 41 years, retiring in 2001.
He was a member of Grace Point Church and the American Legion.
Corky married Kay Mawdsley on January 6, 1969. She survives. Other survivors include their children, Stacy Burgen, Lawrence, Randy (Debra) Yocum, Frontenac; grandchildren, Tyler and Kaylee Burgen, Megan Yocum, Julie and Jon Huston; sister, Karen Herbert, Stephens City, VA. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation has taken place and private graveside services will be held.
