Joseph Clyde Booth, 88, of Topeka, passed away Thursday, September 24, 2020.
He was born October 24, 1931, in Janesville, Kansas, the son of Joseph Clarence and Sarah Juinetta (Matlock) Booth. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War.
Clyde was employed by the Kansas Power and Light later known as Westar in Tecumseh until retiring.
He was a member of Tecumseh United Methodist Church.
Clyde married Mona O. Bradbury in July of 1954 in Leroy Kansas. She preceded him in death on November 1, 2018. Survivors include two sons, Trent A. Booth and his wife, Tu of Omaha, Nebraska and Tracy C. Booth and his wife Leslie of St. Louis, Missouri; his granddaughter Sarah Booth and his step-granddaughter Li Wang. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Willie Ray Booth.
Clyde enjoyed flying his plane, fishing for crappie and catfish, travelling with his family and church activities.
Honoring his request, cremation is planned.
No services are scheduled. Private inurnment will be at Janesville Cemetery, Hamilton, Kansas. Dove Cremations and Funerals, Southwest Chapel in Topeka is assisting the family.
