J. D. Price
J. D. Price, 70, Topeka, passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2009 at Plaza West Health Center.
J.D. was born April 27, 1938 in West Point, MS., the son of Oscar Lee and Emmer Lee (Dodds) Price, Sr.
He worked for National Metalware in Aurora, IL. for 30 years, retiring in 2001 and moved to Topeka shortly after retiring.
He attended the Assembly of God and Salvation Army Church in Topeka.
Survivors include his mother, Emmer Lee Lister, Jenks, OK; brothers; Bill Price, Myrtle, MS, Oscar Lee Price, Dyess, AR, Charles Price, Wakarusa, James L. Price, Topeka, Floyd Price, Texarkana, TX; and sister, Rosalie Crume, Pawhuska, OK. He was preceded in death by his father.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at Penwell-Gabel Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Road. Burial will follow at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. J.D. will lie in state at the funeral home after 4:00 p.m. today and visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
