7. Background:Mr. Bamberg spent most of his life in retail sales and management with
S.S. Kresge Company and J.L. Hudson of Michigan. Later he was employed by Boyle Midway Corporation and
then employed by the State of Kansas, where he retired from in 1983.
He was married to Mildred A. Mills on January 25, 1942. She survives.
He served with the 15th Air Force, 376th Bomb Group, 515th Squadron as co-pilot on a B-24 in the ETO during
WWII.
He was a member of the American Legion Post #1 of Topeka. He attended Washburn University in Topeka and
Marshall College in West Virginia.
