Jack C. Culbertson, 90, of Grantville, passed away Friday, February 4, 2022.
He was born October 11, 1931, in Topeka, Kansas, the son of Jesse Ray Culbertson and Vera Ann (Maxwell) Culbertson.
Jack owned and operated the local gas station in his younger days. Later in life, he worked as an oil delivery truck driver for many years. He married Clara (McGuire) Culbertson on November 13, 1951 in Huntsville, Arkansas. She preceded him in death on December 6, 2009.
Survivors include his children, Brenda Culbertson of Mayetta, KS; Jesse Culbertson of Grantville, KS; Jackie LaPierre of Nebraska; Clifford Culbertson of Topeka, KS; his daughter-in-law, Marie Culbertson of Topeka, KS; his seven grandchildren, several great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and his brothers and sister.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Bruce Culbertson and a grandchild, Bruce Alan Culbertson, Jr.
Honoring Jack's request cremation has taken place. A memorial reception will be held at the Grantville Community Center on Saturday, February 19, 2022 from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm.
Inurnment of Jack's cremated remains will be at Grantville Cemetery in Grantville, KS.
Jack's family would like to thank his many friends and neighbors of Grantville, including Karen Brown, Carla Spurling, Rhonda Essman, Dixie Anthony, Korbe Johnson, and in particular Tina and Jerry Franz, for the love, support, and caring they extended to him after his wife, Clara passed away.
