Jack Fluke

Jack Fluke, 80, of Topeka, Kansas passed away on September 7, 2017 at Midland Hospice House.

He was born October 8, 1936, in Junction City, Kansas, the son of Ralph and Leona (Crosby) Fluke.

Jack attended Junction City High School. In 1954, he joined the Air Force, after which he went to work for the Kansas Department of Transportation, retiring after many years.

Jack is survived by his daughter, Tracy (Paul) Watkins, Silver Lake, Kansas; two granddaughters, Kallee Watkins, Silver Lake, Kansas and Misty (Stephen) Scheele, Topeka, Kansas; two great-grandchildren, Tevan and Alyssa Scheele, Topeka, Kansas; his companion of many years, Sandy Davison, Topeka, Kansas; one sister, Zoah Crumpton, Topeka, Kansas, and three brothers, Garry (Margaret) Fluke, Tim Fluke and Luther Fluke, all of Topeka, Kansas; as well as many loving nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Peggy LaSage of Massachusetts; and a brother, Danny Fluke of California.

Jack was a loving father, grandfather, and brother. He enjoyed life, his family, and collecting Hot Wheels, State Quarters and coins in general. On occasion he was known to head north to the casino.

Jack was cremated and a memorial service for family and friends will be held Thursday, September 21, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Avenue, Topeka, Kansas 66605. Friends and family will gather for a meal at 3:00 p.m. at the American Legion Capitol Post #1, 3800 Michigan, Topeka, Kansas 66609.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Midland Care Hospice, 200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka, Kansas 66606.
