Jack Terpening, 81, Topeka, passed away Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Rolling Hills Assisted Living.
Jack was born February 24, 1936 in Petoskey, Michigan to Daniel and Lelia (Curtiss) Terpening.
He graduated from Petoskey High School in 1954.
He served in the United States Air Force from June 1, 1957 to June 8, 1962.
Jack married Phyllis Ann Spaulding on May 16, 1958.
He worked for Goodyear and the Shawnee County Health Department as an accountant.
Jack was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. He enjoyed wood working, traveling, his church, but most of all, his family.
He is preceded in death by a brother, Ray Terpening, a daughter, Darla Jean Crowl-Terpening and a grandson, Jason Daniel Troxell.
Jack is survived by his wife, four children; Teri Lynn Fincham, Linda Sue (Mark) Troxell, Tina Louise Terpening and Dennis Ray (Cara) Terpening, all of Topeka.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 9, 2017 at Dove Cremation and Funeral Service, 4020 SW 6th, Topeka, KS. Graveside service will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery, 4700 SW 17th St, Topeka, KS 66604.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grace United Methodist Church, 2627 SW Western Avenue, Topeka, KS 66611.
