Jackie Dean Thrasher

Jackie Dean Thrasher, 59, of Topeka, passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2009 at his home. He was born on February 21, 1950 in Dyce, Arkansas, the son of Thomas W. and Daisy Houser Thrasher. Jackie resided in Amarillo, TX prior to moving to Topeka in 1996. He had worked in the construction field before becoming disabled. Jackie married Jan Robinson on November 6, 1975 in Dimmitt, TX. She survives. Other survivors include one daughter, Stacy Pendleton of Amarillo, TX, one son, Jason Thrasher of Topeka, three grandchildren, Madison, Carson and Bryson, two brothers, Charlie and Avery of Amarillo, TX and several nieces and nephews. Jackie will lie in state and the family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel. Funeral services will be held in Amarillo, TX on Tuesday. Burial will follow in Canyon, TX.
