Jackie Greene, 70, Topeka, passed away on Monday morning, June 8, 2009 at Stormont-Vail Hospital.
She was born March 14, 1939 in Beattie, the daughter of Jim and Sarah (Moore) Williams. She graduated from Frankfort High School in 1957, and later attended Clark's School of Business.
She worked for Topeka Transit Authority for 29 years, retiring in 2000. She later worked at Atria Hearthstone West.
She attended Light of the World Christian Center and North Topeka Wesleyan Church.
She was an avid KU basketball fan and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her son, Mitch Glynn; daughter, Paige (Curt) Klein; granddaughters, Meagan and Katrina Klein; sister, Jan Houdek, all of Topeka; and brother, Jim Williams, Independence, MO.
Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 11, 2009 at Penwell-Gabel Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Road. Cremation will follow the service with private family inurnment in the Frankfort Cemetery. Jackie will lie in state at the funeral home after 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday and visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
