Jacob Bradley "Jake" Binfield, 25, Topeka, passed away on Thursday, January 27, 2011 embraced by family and friends. Jake was born August 6, 1985 in Topeka, the son of Brad and Jenny Binfield and graduated from Seaman High School in 2003.
He was employed by the Union Pacific Railroad as a Conductor until a diving accident in 2006. He was working on a degree in advertising.
Jake's wit and humor served him well and never failed to bring a smile to those who knew him. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends especially hunting with his uncles and cousins. He loved the "Nebraska Cornhuskers" and always looked forward to game day.
Survivors include his parents of Topeka; sister, Sarah Binfield, Topeka; grandfathers, Darrell Seeley and Gayle Binfield, Hastings, NE. He was preceded in death by his grandmothers.
Memorial services will be held at 11am on Monday, January 31, 2011 at St. John's Lutheran Church. Private family inurnment will be at a later date.
Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
