James Lee Corber, Jr, 68, of Topeka, passed away on Saturday, May 26, 2018. He was born Sept. 7, 1949 in Topeka, the son of James Lee and Leona (Hilty) Corber, Sr.
James attended Topeka Public Schools. He worked various construction jobs and was employed by Ed Marling's and several restaurants. James enjoyed playing pool, card games fishing on quiet days and western music.
James was married twice but neither marriage was meant to last. He was divorced twice.
James did enjoy closeness with his 6 brothers and 2 sisters, Jimmy Corber, Rose Moris, Alvin Corber, George Corber and Bobby Corber. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Billy Corber, Lee Corber, one sister, Laura Cohee and his very good friend, Phyllis Knight.
As per James' wishes, cremation has taken place and no memorial services are planned. Private inurnment will take place in Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.
