James E. Bonsall, Sr.

James E. Bonsall, Sr., 87, of Topeka, passed away on Friday, September 18, 2015.
He was born August 14, 1928 in Rockdale, Pennsylvania, the son of Frank R. and Jenny (Stewart) Bonsall. James graduated from Media High School in Media, Pennsylvania. He entered into the U.S. Air Force where he spent 21 years before retiring in 1968. He went to work for Munns Medical Supply before retiring.
James married Mildred Alice Prideaux on March 12, 1949 in Fairborne, Ohio. She survives. Other survivors include two sons, James E. Bonsall, Jr. of Mayetta, Randy Roach of Topeka, one daughter, Babbette J. (Joseph) Gomez of Topeka, nine grandchildren, John (Misty), Michael (Malinda), Linda, Heather (Jeff), Miriah (David), Chelsea (Junior), Rosie (Chris), Graham (Robin) and Lillian, eleven great-grandchildren, Kasey (Nick), Madison, Brandon, Nathan, Trevor, Marley, Nicholas, Nora, Coraline , Liam, Caius, four great-great grandchildren, Wito, Novena, Sophia and Brody, two brothers, Basil Bonsall and Frank Bonsall and one sister, Alice Jayne Wyatt.
James was preceded in death by three daughters, Bonnie Alice, Barbara Merle and Laurie Jo.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 24, 2015 at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel. Private inurnment will take place at a later date.
