James E. Meddows, Jr., 36, Topeka, passed away on Tuesday, November 17, 2009.
Jim was born May 28, 1973 in St. Louis, MO, the son of James E. and Sandra (Flanagan) Meddows, Sr. He graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1991 and Fontbonne University in 2004.
He served in the U.S. Air Force. He had been employed at Payless ShoeSource for 15 years.
Jim married Debra A. Weber on January 2, 1992. She survives. Other survivors include their children, Charlene and Lance of the home; brothers, Timothy Meddows, Russell Meddows; sister, Terri Warden; his father; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 21, 2009 at Dove Funeral Home. Burial will be in Leavenworth National Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of Debra Meddows.
