James L. "Jim" Long

James L. “Jim” Long, 75, of Berryton, passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at a Topeka hospital. He was born September 21, 1949 in Conway, Arkansas, the son of Herman F. and Violet C. (Johnson) Long.

Jim was an Air Force Veteran during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed flying his plane and taking care of his property. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle.

Jim married Sheila A. Srna in 1984 in Topeka. She survives. Other survivors his daughter, Sonya Russell, his son, Tony Garcia, his mother, Violet Long of Shawnee, Kansas and his sister, Fay Chapman of Rolla, Missouri.  

A private Celebration of Jim's Life will be held at a later date. Private inurnment will take place at a later date.

Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. is assisting the family with service arrangements.
