James Kerr, 42 of Topeka, Kansas, passed away at his home on January 17, 2018. He was born August 14, 1975 to John and Margaret Kerr. He married Robin Hahn on June 27, 1998. She preceded him in death. He graduated from Holton High School in 1994 and attended Washburn University. He worked at the VA Hospital in Topeka as a pipefitter.
He enjoyed smoking the tires on his 1967 Pontiac Lemans, watching his son play sports, spending time with his friends, his beloved Traeger Smoker and family.
He is survived by his son Jared Kerr of Topeka; his brothers: John Kerr (Jackie) of Whiting, KS, Jason Kerr (Tina) of Topeka; nieces: Kayla Minner of Topeka, Dyna Durland of Albuquerque, NM and Cortlin Kerr of Topeka.
A celebration of his life will be held Wednesday, January 31, 2018 from 4:00-7:00 pm at the Goodyear Shelter House, 2501 NW Old Indianola Rd. Topeka, KS 66618.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Jared Kerr Educational Fund at CoreFirst Bank, Topeka, Kansas.
