James L. "Kimo" Anderson II, 52, entered into Heavens Gates on February 2, 2012. Kimo was born in St. Joseph, Mo, August 25, 1959 to James L. Anderson I and Caroline (Stewart) Anderson-Montez.
Kimo was raised in Kansas City and while living there was employed by General Motors, after moving to Topeka, he was employed by Santa Fe Railroad. Kimo enjoyed NASCAR races, the Kansas City Royals and the Chiefs. Kimo was a loving father to his son James (Little Kimo), and a fun-loving friend to all who knew him.
Kimo is survived by his Step-parents, Henry and Pamela (Crowder-Hefner) Montez, of Kansas City, MO, son, James L. Anderson III; sisters, Sarah Palubinski (Jeremy), Allison Morgan (Travis); nephews Dalton and Trenton Morgan; niece Brooklyn Palubinski of Topeka and lifelong friend, Steve (Rusty) Anderson and family of Kansas City, Kansas. Kimo will be missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Kimo was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Kevin D. Anderson and grandparents, Howard and Geraldine Trowbridge.
A celebration of Kimo's life will be held by his family and friends at a later date.
