James Roland Dark, 78, of Topeka, passed away July 3, 2008 in the Sison, Pangasinan, Philippines. He was born November 26, 1929 in Hutchison, Kansas, the son of James W. and Irene Dark. He was a graduate of Topeka High School. He served in the Naval Reserve, and retired from the State Printer in 1992.
Survivors include his wife Clarita Dark of the Topeka; his son, James M. Dark, Topeka; his daughters, Terry Blindt and her husband, Thomas of Topeka, Connie Dark of Tower City, PA, and Jennifer Dark of Topeka; 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and only sister.
Burial took place in Sison, Pangasinan, Philippines. The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m., Saturday, August 16, 2008 at the Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel.
