James Russell Bennett, 60, of Holton, KS passed away Thursday, July 7, 2016. He was born February 18, 1956, in Seattle, Washington, the son of Marvin and Patricia (Welter) O'Dwyer Bennett. James grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and that is where he met his future wife, Diana M. Knight. James was employed by the Taylor Company as a house painter since 1992.
James enjoyed fishing and cooking.
James married Diana on November 1, 2003 in Holton, KS. She survives of the home. He is also survived by his daughter, April Knight; brother, Richard Bennett; sister, Charlotte Bennet and 2 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by both parents and a step-son.
Per his wishes, James was cremated and no services will be held.
