James B. “Jim” Staehli, 58, of Onaga, Kansas, passed away on Friday, June 28, 2024 at KU Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas. He was born February 20, 1966 in Fort Riley, Kansas, the son of Gary and Theresa (Martin) Staehli.
Jim graduated from Topeka High School. He was an Army Veteran during Desert Storm. He was employed by Washburn University for 15 years as a Facility Supervisor.
Jim was an avid historian, firearm extraordinaire, animal lover, fisherman and all around outdoors man. He loved spending his free time with his wife and kids, building firearms, tinkering with old machinery and doing anything outdoors.
Jim married April D. Feagins on June 5, 2010 in Onaga. She survives. Other survivors include children, Dakota, Jarod, Parker and Jaxsyn, as well as Robert, Charles and Christina. He is also survived by one niece, Morgan, and a great nephew, Theo.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents and one sibling, Crystal Staehli.
A private Celebration of Jim’s Life will be held at a later date. Private inurnment will also take place at a later date.
