assigned to A-Battery, First Battalion, 5th Field Artillery at Ft. Riley and deployed to Kuwait from July to December 2001 as part of
Operation Desert Spring. He was awarded the Army Achievement Medal, the National Defense Service Ribbon, the Army
Expeditionary Medal, the Army Service Medal and the Driver's Badge.
