James W. "Sam" Waters, 59, of Topeka, passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at a Topeka hospital. He was born January 24, 1960 in Laurinburg, North Carolina, the son of James G. and Barbara N. (Haywood) Waters.
Survivors include his siblings, Joann Wunder of Topeka, Jimmy W. Waters, Jr. of Topeka, Willie Dunn of Georgia, Lonnie Dunn of North Carolina, his nephews, Jimmy, Jace, Jarin, and niece, Danielle Owens all of Topeka.
Sam was preceded in death by his parents.
As per Sam's wishes, cremation has taken place and no memorial services are planned. Private inurnment will take place at a later date.
Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. is assisting the family.
