James Wesley Bagg, 72, of Topeka, formerly of Kansas City, passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2015. He was born July 8, 1942, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the son of Warren and Marion (Fawcett) Bagg. Jim grew up in Kansas City. He received a Bachelor's Degree in Education from Emporia State University. Jim served honorably in the National Guard for 6 years.
Jim worked for a number of years as a salesman at Laird Noller Ford. He was previously employed as the Manager of Pension Administrators for Business Men's Assurance Company of America.
Jim was a member of the Fairlawn Church of the Nazarene. He enjoyed singing in the church choir, ballroom dancing, Kansas City Chief's football and KU basketball. He loved cars, spending with time with his family at Big Cedar Lodge and bringing his wife flowers every Friday.
Jim married his wife, Sandra on November 25, 2000 in Topeka. She survives. Additional survivors include his children, Chris Bagg, Jon Bagg, Tim Bagg, Betsy Bagg; step-children, Chad Last, Connie Thompson, Gretchen Cliburn, and Stephany Beaver; siblings, William Bagg, Claire Susanne Reinert and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm., Friday, April 10, 2015, at Fairlawn Church of the Nazarene, 730 S.W. Fairlawn, Topeka, Kansas 66606. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Topeka Rescue Mission.
