Jane E. "J.T." Singer, 54, of Topeka, passed away Wednesday, April 11, 2018.
She was born July 16, 1963, in Waterloo, Iowa, the daughter of David C. and Linda Lu (Smith) Thompson. She was a 1981 graduate of West Waterloo High School and received a Bachelor's Degree in Communication from the University of Iowa.
Mrs. Singer worked as a Para-Educator at Washburn Rural High School.
She was a member of Delta Gamma Sorority at the University of Iowa.
Jane married Colonel William "Bill" R. Singer on October 11, 1991 in Kansas City, MO. He preceded her in death on January 9, 2015. Survivors include two daughters, Madison Singer and Rebecca (Alex) Matos; a son, Michael Singer; three granddaughters, Natalia, Victoria and Olivia; her father, David (Lori) Thompson; a brother, Jeff Thompson; a sister, Ann (Jamie) Aulwes; a niece, Megan Aulwes; and a nephew, Maxwell Aulwes.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Linda Lu Thompson.
Honoring Jane's request, cremation is planned. A memorial ceremony will be 4:00 – 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at the Sherwood Clubhouse, 6910 SW Fountaindale Rd., Topeka, KS.
