Janet Marie Harris, 66, of Topeka, KS passed away Monday, December 24, 2018.
She was born August 30, 1952, in Topeka, KS, the daughter of Gerald and Mary (Beeson) Harris. She was a 1970 graduate of Topeka High School and attended Washburn University.
Janet was employed by the Topeka Shawnee County Public Library.
She attended Christ the King Catholic Church.
Survivors include three children, Melissa L. (Travis) Sellers, Charlotte, NC, Meagan L. (Ronn) White, Topeka, KS and Ronnie L. Scales, Littleton, CO; five grandchildren, Erick Smith, Moriah Smith, Brandun Douglas, Brooke Carter and Mykael White; six great-grandchildren; and four siblings, Gerald Harris, Jr., Colleyville, TX, Christine McGhee, Mark Harris and Michael Harris, all of Topeka, KS.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Michael Harris.
A memorial ceremony will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Mount Hope Cemetery & Funeral Chapel, 4700 SW 17th St., Topeka, KS. Dove Cremations and Funerals, Southwest Chapel is assisting the family.
