Janet Noriega

Janet A. Noriega, 74, of Topeka passed away October 22, 2011. She was born on June 10, 1937 to Bert and Agatha (Burgardt) Needham. She was raised in Topeka and graduated from Hayden High School in 1954. She was a production worker at Hallmark Cards for 31 years and retired in 1993. She had previously been employed by Southwestern Bell as a telephone operator for 8 years. She loved spending time with her family and going to the casino.

She is survived by her three daughters, Annette A. Munoz (Tony), Lisa M. Patterson (Pete), and Caleene R. Stephenson (Mike); one son Richard L. Noriega (Shelley); grandchildren, Erica Haigis (Jon), Michael Rivera III (Elizabeth), Jennifer Mason (Robbie), Michael Stephenson Jr., Brittany Mason (Tim), Kassia Stephenson, Chelsea Stephenson, Marissa Patterson, Jake Patterson, Kevin Stephenson, Nicholas Noreiga, and Sara Stephenson; great-grandchildren, Olivia Hofmann, Lillian Haigis, and Mathias Haigis.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Yvonne Schwader and her brother Dwayne Needham.

A memorial service will be held October 27, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Highland Park United Methodist Church, 2914 SE Michigan Ave., Topeka, Kansas. A visitation will be held for one hour before the service beginning at 10:00 AM. Inurnment will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 801 SW Westchester Rd. Topeka, Kansas.
