Janet M. Rosebrough, 62, of Topeka, passed away Saturday, July 6, 2024 after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born October 9, 1961, in Cincinnati, Ohio, the daughter of George Edward Logan and Sarah Jane (Overstreet) Loesing. She was a 1979 graduate of Topeka West High School. She received a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Washburn University and a Master's Degree in Nursing from University of Missouri Kansas City.
Janet was employed by Shawnee County before becoming a RN then an APRN at Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka in the NICU for 25 years.
Janet married David C. Rosebrough on October 4, 2014 in Topeka. He survives in Topeka. Other survivors include her daughter, Christina Fuller of Marion, Arkansas; her son, Stephen (Kellie) Doud of Cape Girardeau, MO; her step-son, Jackie (Christine) Doud of Auburn, KS; step-daughter, Mercedes Rosebrough of Lawrence, KS; her step-son, Cody Rosebrough of Topeka; her grandchildren, Skilar Loreman, Noah Stauffer, Remington Doud, Cayden Fuller, Kaileigh Fuller, Abbigail Fuller, Winter (Kamren) St. Clair, Brody Doud, Cheyanne Shaffer, Titus Shaffer and Samson Doud; her mother, Sarah Bratton of Topeka; her mother and father-in-law, Dick and Angie Rosebrough of Meriden, KS; and her brothers-in-law, Steve Rosebrough, Dan (Alison) Rosebrough and Matt (Michelle) Rosebrough.
She was preceded in death by her father, George Logan; her step-father, Chuck Bratton; her brother, Richard Loesing; and her nephew, Jerry Johnston Jr. (JJ).
Janet loved spending time with her family, loved to dance, bake and vacationing in Cabo San Lucas. She took pride in her abilities to help premature infants and her work. She enjoyed working out, hosting events and attending special events. She was known to many as “Beautiful Baddass”.
Honoring her request, cremation is planned. A celebration of life ceremony will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 12, 2024 at Dove Cremations & Funerals, Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Road, Topeka, KS.
