Janet Ruth (Kaufman) Reynolds

Janet Ruth (Kaufman) Reynolds, 72, of Topeka, passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2011 at St. Francis Health Center. She was born on January 28, 1939 eight miles South of Dorrance on the farm to William H. (Bill) and Minnie G. (Cook) Kaufman.
Janet grew up in Dorrance and graduated from Dorrance High School in 1957. After high school, she attended and graduated from Hutchinson Community College. She was employed with Dillon's as a grocery clerk. Janet was a member of Lion and Lamb Church, Topeka, KS; Beta Sigma Phi Sorority; a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary V.F.W. Post No. 1650, as well as donated her time to several charities.
She is survived by her three daughters, Lana (Tom) Ryan of Towanda, KS; Sandra (Todd) Hurt of Holton, KS and Connie (Brad) Eakes of Topeka; her brothers and sister, Merle (Linda) Kaufman of Dodge City, KS; Joyce (Dean) Langhofer of Dorrance, KS and Jimmie (Opal) Kaufman of Eudora, KS and six grandchildren, Tyler (Stephanie) Ryan of Wichita, KS; Tiffany (Justin) Leitzen of Bosie, ID; Matthew Eakes; Sarah Eakes both of Topeka; Stephanie Hurt and Tara Hurt both of Holton and one step great granddaughter, Arabella Leitzen of Bosie, ID.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 2, 2012 beginning at 9 am, with funeral ceremony following at 10 am at the Corner Stone Community Church, 7620 SW 21st Street, Topeka. Burial will be in the Dorrance City Cemetery, Dorrance, KS at 3:30 pm on Monday.
Memorial contributions may be made to Lion and Lamb Church in care of Penwell-Gabel Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Rd, Topeka, KS 66610.
