Janette Jo Pucci
Janette Jo Pucci, age 65, died January 16, 2008 in Topeka, Kansas. She was born on September 25, 1942, in Pittsburg, Kansas, the daughter of Joseph G Pucci and Vertrus "Ginger" Pucci. She is survived by sister, Susan Gaston, Tulsa, brother, Joe Pucci, Frontenac, and niece, Jenna D. Pucci, Frontenac.
Janette was a Registered Nurse, who started her nursing education with a Diploma from Mt. Carmel School of Nursing, Pittsburg, Kansas, later earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The University of Arizona and a Masters degree in Nursing from Texas Woman's University.
She taught nursing at Mt. Carmel School of Nursing, Labette Community College, Pittsburg State University, and Wichita State University. She was employed as an Educational Consultant with the Kansas Board of Nursing for 20 years until retirement. In 2004, the National Council of State Boards of Nursing recognized her work with the Exceptional Contribution Award. Prior to and following her retirement, she provided loving care for our mother until her death in 2007.
She enjoyed the theater and travel throughout her life time.
The family has requested a private graveside service and that flowers not be sent.
