Janice Marie Blackwell

Janice M. Blackwell, 49, of Topeka, passed away on Friday, June 6, 2008 at a Topeka hospital. She was born on October 22, 1958 in Smithville, TX, the daughter of Len and Bennie McColeny Patridge. She has resided in Topeka for the past 10 years. Janice was a member of the National Guard before being honorarably discharged in July of 1980. Janice enjoyed Bible Study. Survivors include two sons, Thelonious Henry, Jr. of Topeka, Travis Coleman of Topeka, one daughter, Christina Henry of Topeka, five grandchildren, her parents, Len and Bennie Patridge of Austin, TX, two sisters and two brothers all of Texas and numerous friends. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday on the Garden Chapel at Topeka Cemetery. Janice will lie in state from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Friday at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel.
