Janice Marie Griffith, 82, of Tecumseh, KS, passed away Thursday, April 24, 2014.
She was born September 9, 1931, in Topeka, the daughter of James and Mary (Koenig) Lloyd. She was a 1949 graduate of Kinsley High School, Kinsley, KS.
Janice married Bobby Lee Ferguson on May 29, 1949, in Kinsley, KS. He preceded her in death on November 9, 1987. She married Voyd Dwane Griffith on April 21, 1989, in Topeka. He survives of the home. Other survivors include fifteen children, Bobby (Linda) Ferguson, Orange, VA, Lynn Crow, Topeka, Mary (Dan) Seyer, Shelbyville, IN and James (Kathy) Ferguson, Paola, KS, Vance (Teri) Cain, Independence, KS, Karen (Jack) Pickett, Burlingame, KS, Sheryl Hogan, Topeka, Yvonne Alexander, Tecumseh, Calvin (Beth) Griffith, Atlantic Beach, FL, Terry (Chick) Griffith, Topeka, Charles (Becky) Griffith, Lyndon, KS, James Griffith, Vassar, KS, Kathy (Aaron) McMichael, Emporia, KS, John (Teri) Griffith, Topeka and Nancy (Richard) Griffith, Topeka ; 51grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; and four siblings, Joyce Ensz, Hutchinson, KS, Linda (Marvin) Kaiser, Great Bend, KS, James (Marcella) Lloyd, Great Bend, KS and William (Gerry) Lloyd of Corvallis, OR.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sons, Thomas Jay Ferguson and Robert Allen Cain.
Honoring her wishes, Mrs. Griffith was cremated. A graveside service will be 1:30 P.M., Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Topeka. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1315 SW Arrowhead Road, Topeka, KS 66604. Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel is assisting the family.
