Janice N. Rowland, 92, of Lawrence, formerly of Topeka, passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at a Lawrence care facility. She was born November 1, 1926 in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Wallace and Louise (Beddoes) Neil.
Janice earned a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry from Beloit College in Wisconsin. She was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church.
Janice married John C. Rowland. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include one son, Chris Rowland of Oak Island, North Carolina, one daughter, Jane R. Flanders of St. Louis, Missouri, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place and as per Janice's wishes, no memorial services are planned. Private inurnment will take place in Mount Hope Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the American Diabetes Association PO Box 13067 Alexandria, Virginia 22312.
Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. is assisting the family.
