career as a supervisor at the Lincoln State Hospital in Nebraska. She was an avid dog lover and enjoyed traveling in the U.S. and abroad.
She moved to Noel, Missouri following her husband's death to be near her mother where she was involved as a volunteer in civic affairs.
She later moved to Topeka to be near her sister and family.
