Janine G. Paige

Janine G. Paige, 60, of Topeka, passed away Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at her home. She was born April 27, 1954 in Topeka to Nels and Pauline Baatrup.

Janine was raised in Topeka, Kansas and was a 1972 graduate of Highland Park High School. Janine married Don Paige, her high school sweetheart, on October 6, 1973 at Northland United Methodist Church in Topeka. She was a member of Wanamaker Road Baptist Church in Topeka.

Survivors include her husband; Don; one daughter, Tracy Paige of Topeka, Kansas; three sons, Bryan Paige and wife, Lana of Atlanta, Texas: Brad Paige and wife, Amy of Topeka, Kansas: Keith Paige and wife, Mindy of Neosho, Missouri; 14 beloved grandchildren; two sisters, Christie White and Laura Baatrup of Topeka, Kansas; a brother, Ed Baatrup of Hillsboro, Kansas; and mother-in-law, Wanda Meinhardt of Tecumseh, Kansas.

Janine also loved her "extended family" which included Jennifer Ewing and family of Topeka; R.J. Easter of Topeka; and Carrie Howell of Topeka.

A grandson, Kaleb Joshua Paige; a sister, Yuvon Braden; a brother, Nels Jr. Baatrup; and her parents, Nels Sr. and Pauline Baatrup preceded her in death.

"You might think this strange to get a letter from me when I'm gone, but this is what I wanted you to know. I loved each and every one of you. I may not have shown it as much as I should have, but I loved you! I loved you the way God loved me. You could do something wrong to anger me, but nothing you could do ever do would make me stop loving you. I'm home and holding Kaleb, my first grandchild, and waiting for you when it is your time." ~Janine

Janine's family will host a private memorial gathering on Saturday, August 9th, 2014 from 11am to 2pm.
