Jean Amspacker, 83, of Topeka, passed away Saturday, December 24, 2011.
She was born June 3, 1928 on a farm near Richland, KS, the daughter of Vernon O. and Clara M. (Chubb) Burbank. She was a 1946 graduate of Berryton High School.
She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.
Jean married Earl Lee Amspacker on August 7, 1949 in Topeka. He preceded her in death on March 14, 2011. Survivors include two sons, Don Amspacker, Berryton, KS and Dan (Judy) Amspacker, Olathe, KS; a daughter, Marcia (Tom) Corbin, Enid, OK; daughter-in-law, Jacque Amspacker, Lawrence; 5 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death her parents and a sister, Bernice Humphries.
She was a homemaker and wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her life was devoted to her loving family and she will be greatly missed.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at the Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave, Topeka. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Richland, KS.
