Jean Rosemary Lillo, 88, of Topeka, passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2021, with her family by her side.
She was born December 28, 1932, in Wickham Market, Suffolk, England, the daughter of William Isaac and Alice Constance (Fulcher) Smith. Jean married Armando Tom Lillo on October 4, 1952 in the Church of St. Thomas Canterbury in Woodbridge, Suffolk, England. To this union four children.
Jean was employed by Red Lobster Restaurant in Topeka until retiring. She would later work for Cracker Barrel Restaurant in Topeka.
She was a member of Wanamaker Woods Church of the Nazarene in Topeka, TOPS, Airman's Wives Club, VFW 1650 Ladies Auxiliary and Friends of the Topeka Zoo.
She was preceded in death by her husband on May 26, 1993; her parents; two brothers, John and Gavin Smith; and her sister, Joan Rowell.
Survivors include four children, Eugene (Sharon) Lillo of Topeka, Gary (Sandy) Lillo of Texas, Darlene (Al) Lillo of Ozawkie, KS and Donna (Daniel) Braden of Topeka; 10 grandchildren, Waylon, Breanne, Dusty, Caitlyn, Lacey, Cooper, Cassie, Devyn, Sydney and Gracie; 19 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Hazel (Sterling) Simoneaux of Texas, Gillian (John) Forte of Florida and Betty Harvey of England.
Honoring her request, cremation is planned. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until the memorial service at 10:00 a.m., Monday, October 4, 2021 at the Mount Hope Funeral Chapel, 4700 SW 17th Street, Topeka, KS. Dove Cremations & Funeral, Southwest Chapel is assisting the family.
