Jean Louise Boman, 76, Topeka, died Tuesday, July 11, 2006 at Midland Hospice House.
She was born May 22, 1930 in Ann Arbor, Michigan, the daughter of Regina Erickson Tanguay. she was raised in Hermansville, Michigan, and graduated from Hermansville High School in 1947. She then graduated from Baptist Memorial School of Medical Technology, San Antonio, Texas, in 1954.
She married Charles L. Boman in 1954 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, San Antonio. They moved to Wichita in 1954, and to Topeka in 1966.
Mrs. Boman earned Bachelor of Biology and Bachelor of Nursing degrees from Washburn University, Topeka, and a Masters in Adult Education from Kansas State University, Manhattan. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her husband, Charles, Topeka, and a daughter, Kathy Dunn and husband, Douglas, Flagstaff, AZ.
She was preceded in death by her son, Gary M. Boman on Feb. 20, 2006.
Cremation is planned. The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 pm Monday at Newcomer Family Funeral Home, followed by a memorial service at 3:00 pm. Private inurnment will be in the Resurrection Mausoleum at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery, Topeka.
