Jean M. Fryman, 92, formerly of Horton, died peacefully on November 15, 2013.
She was born, February 10, 1921 to Russell D. and Myrtle Yort Speece in Nemaha County, Nebraska. She spent her childhood in Nebraska and Colorado before moving to Kansas where her father owned the local drug store in downtown Horton.
She married Charles Emmett "Mutt" Fryman in Horton in 1939. She is survived by her sons Steve (Ursula) of Wichita, Nick of Los Angeles, Timm of Chicago and her daughters Judi (Ron) Scheid and Susan (Dennis) Barnes of Topeka; 11 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
While raising her family, she spent many years doing volunteer work for the Horton Hospital Auxiliary and was an active member of St. Leo's Parish. She will be lovingly remembered and missed by her friends and family.
