Jean Ellen Neal, 88, of Topeka, passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 in Leawood, Kansas. She was born November 9, 1933 in Bladen, Nebraska, the daughter of Hazel (Jahn) and Floyd McMahon.
Jean graduated from Bladen High School in Bladen Nebraska. She resided in Topeka since 1983. She was a homemaker and a member of the Highland Park United Methodist Church.
Jean married W.O. Neal on January 15, 1956 in Bladen, Nebraska. They were married 59 years. He preceded her in death on March 28, 2015. She was also preceded in death by one son; Thomas Neal; brother, Stanley McMahon and her brother-in-laws; Charles Neal and Jerry Neal.
Survivors include children; Debora (Wallace) Jensen of Wichita, Don Neal (Jo) of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Kay Scott of Salisaw, Oklahoma, Randy Neal (Lawrence Sperry) of Overland Park, Kansas and Jane Elder of Austin, Texas; grandchildren; Isabella (Mike) Stewart of Wichita, Watson Neal (Natasha) of Pea Ridge, Arkansas, Sam Neal (Laura) of Lowell, Arkansas, Kerry (Tanner) Slover of Topeka, J.J. Elder (Kelsey Barron) of Austin, Texas, Karley Dick of Topeka and Merritt Elder (Chris Adimora) of Dallas, Texas; great-grandchildren; Laurel and Paul Hake of Wichita, Jack, Lily and Matthew Neal of Lowell, Arkansas, Ryder Thompson and Rylee Douglas of Topeka and James Elder of Austin, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Jean's Life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at the Highland Park United Methodist Church. Inurnment committal services will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Highland Park United Methodist Church, 2914 SE Michigan Ave., Topeka, Kansas 66605.
