This is the obituary written by Jeff Dolezal prior to his passing I hope you enjoy it:

What luck I had growing up in Wilson, Kansas! Here are some memories in no organized list of items. The first thing I remember was when I was 4 years old I saw a cow, while with my mom and Aunt, and it scared me to death; Summer baseball in a lot across the street from my house and the first base was a big bush, second base was a crack in a sidewalk, third base was a locust tree , and a ball glove as home base., At age 4 I drove my toy tractor down the main Highway to the preschool without my parents knowledge . I was so lucky someone in a truck got behind me and followed me there. Boy did I get in trouble for that. I was in our church play and was one of the wise men but told people I was the wise guy. summers in Old Smokey River. Cleaning sidewalks in winter and at Wilson Drug.

On to Desoto, Kansas for teaching prep, same time as Dave Robisch (KU). Got job at Desoto Middle School from Neal Shea, lasted three years, later I coached basketball there.

Next sold life insurance with New York Life for eight years. Sold Real Estate for 2 years. Then opened the joy of my life a baseball card shop. Loved the kids faces when they got a nice card, also the parents, even other dealers. My first shop was in Lawrence Kansas at 538 W 23rd, then 711 W 23rd and finally at 23rd and Wakarusa where the shop closed. Still did shows for fifteen more years.

Married Sandy Hesser and we divorced after 31 years in 2002. I have three daughters from this marriage, Megan who lives in New York City, Mandy and husband John who lives in Lawrence, Kansas and Marcy who lives in Laramie, Wyoming. Met Linda Kramer in 2003 who I married a few months later. She is the love of my life. She has two sons Eric and Colby. Eric has one son Ryan and lives in Topeka with his wife Shelly. Colby lives in Topeka.

If you want to see my ashes, go to the Wilson Kansas Cemetery and find my mom and Dad’s graves and my ashes will be beside them. I will not be there, just my ashes.

Enjoy my obituary. Hopefully you will have a smile on your face. I know this obituary made me smile!

Thank you, Jeff
