Jennie JoAnn Adair, 83, of Topeka, passed away Saturday, April 2, 2022.
She was born January 10, 1939, in Miltonvale, KS, the daughter of Hershel L. and Jennie (Briggs) Owen.
JoAnn attended Concordia High School in Concordia, KS.
She worked as a Certified Medical Assistant as well as a Certified Nurse's Aide for McCrites for approximately 20 years. She also worked as a Home Health Aide for Midland Hospice.
JoAnn was a member of the American Legion Post #400 and Women at the Moose in Topeka.
She married Lorman D. Adair on April 20, 1970 in San Diego, CA. He preceded her in death on April 2, 1981.
Survivors include her children, Karen (Howard) Marlow of Topeka, Neal Nutter of Topeka, Charles (Michele) Loeffler of Vassar, KS, Louise Loeffler-Forman of Copperopolis, CA and LaDonna (Nick) Loeffler-Hines of Topeka; her 11 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren; her sisters, Phyllis Morginson of Denver, CO and LaDonna Peterson of Concordia, KS, many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and 12 siblings.
JoAnn enjoyed square dancing.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at the Dove Cremations and Funerals – Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Rd., Topeka, KS 66610.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at Dove Cremations and Funerals – Southwest Chapel.
Interment will follow at the Historic Topeka Cemetery, 1601 SE 10th Ave., Topeka, KS 66607.
