Jimmie L. Booze, 88, of Topeka, passed away on Monday, June 6, 2005 at Rolling Hills in Topeka. She was born on November 1, 1916 in Greenwood, Mississippi the daughter of Jim and Rose Hendricks McCallought. She came to Topeka in the 1940s. She was a member Ebenezer Baptist Church and True Vine Missionary Baptist Church of Topeka. She married Hilliard Booze in 1972. He preceded her in death. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Rosie L. Zellars in 1997. Survivors include two sons Elbert H. Hunt of Phoenix, Arizona, Michael Hunt of Topeka, four grandsons, Edward E. Hunt of Dallas, Texas, Michael T. Hunt of Phoenix, Arizona, Nathan A. Hunt and Jourdan M. Hunt of Topeka and many nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday at Ebenezer Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Ft. Leavenworth National Cemetery. Mrs. Booze will lie in state and the family will receive friends from 3:00-5:00 p.m. Sunday at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel. Memorial contributions may be given to the Jimmie L.
