Jimmie W. Crouch, 91, of Topeka, passed away on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at Midland Hospice House in Topeka. He was born January 14, 1930 in Garnett, Kansas, the son of Oliver L. and Lucy J. (Wyman) "Buck" Crouch.
Jimmie graduated from Garnett High School in 1948. He was an Air Force Veteran and stationed in Alaska for four years and then Leesville, Louisiana where he met the love of his life, Louise. Jimmie had resided in Topeka since 1952 and was employed by Stevenson Company, Inc. for 42 years prior to retiring in 1992.
Jimmie loved hunting, fishing and boating.
Jimmie married Louise Barnhart on February 8, 1952 in Alexandria, Louisiana. They were married for 65 years upon her passing. She preceded him in death on September 17, 2016. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Edith Gassen, Leonard Crouch, Agnes Wools and Charles Crouch.
Survivors include two daughters, Anne Patton of Lewisville, Texas, Janie (Rick) Mitchell of Topeka, four grandchildren, D'Anne Lancaster (Barry) of Texas, Fred Patton (Wendy) of West Virginia, Rachel Mitchell (Brad) of Topeka, Danae Oltmanns (Jacob) of Topeka and eleven great-grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place and private inurnment will take place in Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.
