Jimmie Jean Crane, 73, of Topeka, formerly of Frederick, OK, passed away on Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at Midland Hospice Care. She was born October 27, 1938 in Lone Wolf, OK, the daughter of Mary Lurleen (Bennett) and Calvin James Rice, Sr.
Jimmie married Mark Crane on November 11, 1961 in Hobart, OK. He preceded her in death. Jimmie worked 18 years as a CMA before retiring. She was a member of the Church of the Living God C.W.F.F. her entire life.
Jimmie is survived by her nephew, Sam Rice; niece, Tamiko Mitchell; nephew, Russell Jones Jr.; great-nephew, Justin M. Harris; sisters, Josie Weaver, Carolyn Harris; brother, Calvin James Rice, Jr., and many more she raised and loved. She is preceded in death by her husband Mark, both parents and 4 brothers.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, August 20th at Dove Cremation & Funeral Service, 4020 SW 6th Ave. in Topeka. There will be a viewing one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Topeka Cemetery.
