Jimmie Jean Roberts

Jimmie Jean "Jim" Roberts, 86, of Topeka, passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2024. He was born October 29, 1937 in Auburn, Kansas, the son of Frank and Vella (Littrell) Roberts.

Jim graduated from Highland Park High School. He served in the Kansas National Guard as a heavy equipment mechanic for 37 years before retiring. He was a member of the Tecumseh United Methodist Church. He was an avid K-State, Chiefs and Royals fan.

Jim married Carol A. McFarland on February 2, 1958 at the family home. She survives. Other survivors include children, Richard (Mary) Roberts of Topeka, Randy (Connie) Roberts of Carbondale, Steve (Susan) Roberts of Smithville, Missouri, Susan (Kim) Dallman of Mayetta, eleven grandchildren, Michael, Nicole, Jessica, Ryan, Jake, Elizabeth, Dana, Brett, Derek, Candace and Shelby, twenty-eight great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild on the way and his siblings, Bob, Kay and Fran.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents and four siblings.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. where the family will receive friends one hour prior to service time. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery. The family requests that attendees are welcome to wear their K-State, Chiefs or Royals attire.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Tecumseh United Methodist Church, 334 SE Tecumseh Rd., Tecumseh, Kansas 66542.
