Jim Russell, 76, of Topeka, passed away September 9, 2014. He was born November 11, 1937 to Paul and Betty Jean (Taylor) Russell at Council Grove, Kansas. Jim owned and operated Russell Hardwood Floors for many years. He was a member of Countryside United Methodist Church. Jim enjoyed car racing and John Wayne movies but his greatest joy in life was spending time with his many children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Blenda (Moberg) Russell, his children, Barbara (Tim) Whitt, Debra (Anthony) Long, J.D. (Calley) Russell, Wendi Russell (Brad Warren), and Jessica Trimble; his grandchildren, Shelley (Kenneth) Harrell, Jaime Whitt, James (Sarah) Russell, Scott (Randi) Connell, Jackie (Ben) Kuisle, Billy (Heidi) Connell, Ashley (Jeremy) Villines, Jacob (Miranda) Russell, Josh (Ashlee) Russell, Matthew Trimble, Andrew Trimble and Elijah Russell; and his 19 great-grandchildren, Will, Kyndall, Sam, Buddy, Jack, Justin, Desirea, Grayson, Kynlee, Kalynn, Presley, Parker, Preston, Kennedy, Jackson, Ethan, Avery, Carter and Cora.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, one sister, one niece, and one of his grandsons, Lucas Russell.
