Jimmy Dale Roberts, Sr.

Jimmy Dale "Jim" Roberts, Sr., 82, of Topeka, passed away on Sunday, August 1, 2021. He was born November 8, 1938 in St. Joseph, Missouri, the son of J.D. and Dorothy (Reeder) Roberts.
Jim was a Navy Veteran. He owned and operated Roberts Trucking. He was a member of Local Operators Union No. 101.
Survivors include four children, Jim Roberts, Jr. of Topeka, Hazel (Bud) Barngrover of Topeka, Ruth Jean Ann Roberts of Topeka and Gary (Sheila) Roberts of Topeka, eight grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Jim was preceded in death by three siblings, Donnie, Bonnie and Judith.
Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Jim's Life will be held after 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 7, 2021 on his farm. Private inurnment will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Helping Hands Humane Society 5720 SW 21st. St., Topeka, Kansas 66604.
Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. is assisting the family with arrangements.
